As per the latest reports, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has arrested 10 Pakistanis, including five women, for begging. These arrested individuals were caught begging at different spots in the country.
The authorities in the UAE had recently warned their citizens from giving money to beggars. The authorities have informed Pakistan regarding the arrests of its citizens.
Sources in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said that three women from Vehari district in Punjab — Amna Bibi, Kausar Bibi, and Farzana Bibi — along with Jameela Bibi and Zubaida Bibi from Lahore, were detained while begging and have been sent to jail. They are currently being prepared for deportation to Pakistan.
Officials added that in similar operations, five Pakistani men were also arrested for begging: Muhammad Zakariya from Dera Ghazi Khan, Waseem Haider from Bahawalnagar, Muhammad Usman from Lahore, Ijaz Khan from Charsadda, and Abdullah from Peshawar.
Emergency passports have been arranged for their swift repatriation to Pakistan. After reaching Pakistan, they are expected to face legal action.
A total of 52,520 Pakistani nationals were barred from travelling outside Pakistan due to concerns related to illegal immigration, deportation, and criminal activities.

Pakistani citizens are already tight scrutiny process regarding their visa approval for the UAE. The National Assembly session has brought to light serious concerns regarding the issuance of visas to Pakistani citizens by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Lawmakers discussed the issue, revealing that some individuals had submitted fake degrees, diplomas, and fraudulent job contracts to obtain UAE visas. These revelations have raised concerns over document fraud and its impact on Pakistani workers seeking employment abroad.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed multiple factors contributing to the tightening of visa policies for Pakistanis. Several Pakistani workers have overstayed their visas, violating immigration laws. Additionally, some individuals have been involved in political and criminal activities, further prompting UAE authorities to impose stricter regulations.
In other news, Saudi Arabia arrested twelve Yemeni nationals for forcing women and children of their nationality by forcing them to beg in public squares and on busy roads in Jeddah.
