Meanwhile, his passionate followers and supporters celebrated his birthday at D-Chowk in Islamabad last night, amid intense shelling by police and other law enforcement agencies.
Supporters and followers had gathered at D-Chowk on the call of Imran Khan to protest against the proposed amendments in the constitution. To thwart the protest, police put barricades, and containers and attacked the protestors with intense shelling. The protest started on Friday and is entering its second day.
However, protestors and party workers are putting up a fight with police and are waiting for Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur to arrive at D-Chowk, Islamabad.
Incarcerated Imran Khan had instructed Ali Amin Gandapur to reach D-Chowk even if it took two days. As per the latest update, Ali Amin Gandapur has reached Islamabad along with the convoy.
