HPE Computers ventures with a Pakistani Company

A leading Pakistani company recently acquired the ‘Platinum Partner’ status of Hewlett Packard (HPE) Enterprise. In fact, they are currently the only partners of HPE to have achieved the Platinum status in Pakistan. Pakistan's IT industry is progressing at a rapid speed.

Pakistan’s youth and corporate personnel have come to depend heavily on technology, for their work and routine happenings. We were approximately a decade behind in the digital up-gradation relative to the rest of the educated world due to our steady lower rates of income and opportunities.

Some twenty years back, it took a bunch of retailers and importers to provide us with international standard computers; however, today, one can find a wide range of selection to choose their preferred laptops, tablets, PCs, etc. One of the many companies that worked on providing us with such an array of products through trustworthy sources is Jaffer Business Systems Ltd. (JBS).

The local software market is export-orientated; however, it is dependent on imports for the latest technologies and services

JBS recently acquired the ‘Platinum Partner’ status of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). In fact, they are currently the only partners of HPE to have achieved the Platinum status in Pakistan for FY20, which is the highest level of partnership status assigned by HPE globally. This level is assigned to partners having the highest level of certifications and competencies in the HPE partner network.

Before acquiring the Platinum status, JBS held the status of being their Gold Partner in Pakistan for several years, which is rewarded to partners based on their sales performance, services, and competency level.

Expressing his views on achieving this new milestone, Syed Adil Wadood, Country Manager, Jaffer Infrastructure Solutions, Jaffer Business Systems said, “JBS is committed to improving businesses by integrating the latest technology and providing innovative solutions. Being amongst the top technology contributors in Pakistan, JBS has been an HPE partner in the country so that it can play its role in order to harness the entrepreneurial culture in the country. HPE has shown promising success over the years by helping us discover our competitive edge. Through this newly unlocked achievement, we aim to provide our clients with enhanced productivity and help them in transforming their businesses for the better.”

This is quite an accomplishment for the whole nation as it adds to the country’s progress in the Information Technology Industry. Pakistan’s IT industry has demonstrated positive growth trends for the last few years; especially in the reciprocal role of exports, where we are showing accelerating numbers that eventually improve our GDP. Pakistan’s IT sector has earned a massive revenue of $4.1 billion during the fiscal year 2018-19.

According to the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), the total size of the software sector is approximately $6.5 billion, which is expected to grow at least 3.5 percent in the next five years. The local software market is export-orientated; however, it is dependent on imports for the latest technologies and services. Hence, with heavy traffic of exports and imports in the country – hopefully exports more than imports – we will be able to grow dramatically.
