Darren Sammy, the cherished foreign player of PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi has refuted the rumors of a rift with Peshawar Zalmi’s management.
Recently, Darren Sammy had posted a series of puzzling tweets that fanned the perception of purported differences between him and Peshawar Zalmi owner, Javed Afridi.

Also, statements of Shoaib Akhtar and Sports journalist Waheed Khan reported fallout between Zalmi administration and West Indian player that reinforced the perception that he is unhappy with Peshawar Zalmi.
Hence to fizzle out this perception, Darren Sammy posted a picture with Javed Afridi on social media calling him his brother and Peshawar Zalmi his ‘baby’.
Sammy wrote: “I can’t believe that the media would think that my bro @JAfridi10 and I would ever have an issue. I’m laughing at this. Listen, guys, I love this man as my brother.

“Are u guys serious @PeshawarZalmi is my baby and nothing comes between us. Absolutely nothing!” he added further.
Earlier, Darren Sammy had expressed his displeasure in a tweet that read, “I’ve learnt that you are important until you’ve completed your role. #dealingwithhumans,” He tweeted shortly after he was “rested” by Peshawar for their match against Karachi Kings.

On the other hand, Waheed Khan tweeted that Peshawar Zalmi is unhappy with his response on Twitter and they might drop him in future matches.
Earlier, Shoaib Akhar likened the dispute with the PSL franchise to Shahid Afridi’s conflict with the Peshawar Zalmi that led him to left the franchise. He, however, praised Darren Sammy and urged Peshawar Zalmi to respect foreign players who are playing their part to resume international cricket in Pakistan.

Darren Sammy, Peshawar Zalmi skipper, and West Indian player will receive Pakistan’s honorary citizenship and highest civil award on Pakistan Day, 23rd March from President Arif Alvi.
Pakistan Sports Board shared the news on its official Twitter account, while the team owner of Peshawar Zalmi Javed Afridi has hailed the announcement.
