Sindh High Court delays and postpones the judicial matters due to power outage. Proceedings on several cases have been delayed without any hearing.
According to a report published on SAMAA News, the walk-thru gates placed at the entrance of the court are dysfunctional due to absence of electricity. This raises concerns on the security and safety in Sindh High Court keeping in view the surge in terrorist activities in the city in the past 15 days.
Reports claim that the identity and branch information sections have been shut down due to a power outage. The obstruction in the judicial and administrative matters of the Sindh High Court has left people anxious and frustrated.
A moderate blast due to technical fault was reported in the sub-station of K-Electric that cause a power outage in the Sindh High Court. Court administration says they had contacted with K-Electric for the resumption of the electricity.

The power outage raises the question if Sindh High Court is provided with an alternative source of power. As per the reports, the generators installed at Sindh High Court are also out of order. The absence of power during the sweltering heat in Karachi made it difficult to carry out judicial matters.

Karachi, like the rest of the country, is hit with long hours of power outages following a sharp increase in the temperature in the city. Load shedding spiked in Karachi and has worsened in the rest of the country with the onset of the summer season. The summer season this year coincides with the new coalition government led by PMLN and Shehbaz Sharif as its supremo.
The power outage is affecting the domestic and commercial users equally. Meanwhile, the sitting government has not shared a plan so far as to how they intend to control the power outages and increase the supply of electricity.
