Former Finance Minister and PMLN leader Miftah Ismail laughs and goes speechless when asked about 60-year-old Capt Safdar heading the youth wing of PMLN.
Miftah Ismail was in the talk show with Meher Bukhari on Hum News and was asked about the husband of Maryam Nawaz, a 60-year-old Capt (r) Safdar heading the youth wing of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. Ismail went speechless in response to the question and paused before he could say anything. Unable to say anything, Miftah Ismail started laughing in the show. Bukhari said this is the first time she has found Miftah Ismail going speechless in response to the question.
In the same interview, Miftah Ismail said that PMLN lost confidence after he revived the IMF program that came with strict conditions. The later party lost by-elections in Punjab. The former finance minister said the party fears they will lose the political capital in the next elections.

News of rifts within PMLN is making rounds on social media after Maryam Nawaz ascended to the post of chief organizer of the party. As per reports, the senior leadership of PMLN has expressed displeasure over the development of the party. News is making rounds regarding Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail parting ways with PMLN. The unconfirmed reports say senior leadership is not content with how Maryam Nawaz behaves with them.

Earlier, the son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Suleman Shehbaz in an unwarranted tweet called the last three finance ministers of Pakistan ‘jokers’ which included Miftah Ismail too. “The last 3 finance ministers were jokers.
