Teary eyed Nita Ambani thanks Rohit Sharma for world cup win

Rohit Sharma was the first to come on stage, receiving a hug from Nita Ambani.

The Indian cricket team has made India proud with their recent T20 World Cup victory, and the celebration continues, even days after the grand win. This joyous spirit was evident at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet ceremony, where Nita Ambani paid tribute to cricketers Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Surya Kumar Yadav, who were present at the event.

A video from the ceremony shows Nita Ambani inviting the three players onto the stage as the song “Lehra Do” from the Ranveer Singh film 83 played in the background.

Rohit Sharma was the first to come on stage, receiving a hug from Nita Ambani. As Surya Kumar Yadav walked up, he was greeted with a handshake and hug from Akash Ambani before standing next to the Indian captain. Hardik Pandya followed, also getting a warm hug from Nita Ambani, while dancers with Indian flags added to the celebratory atmosphere.

The camera then panned to the audience, who were enthusiastically moving to the song’s beats. The star-studded sangeet ceremony was attended by some of India’s biggest celebrities, including Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, MS Dhoni, Sakshi Dhoni, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ananya Panday, KL Rahul, Athiya Shetty, Sidharth Malhotra, and Kiara Advani, among others.

Following the sangeet ceremony, a Grah Shanti Puja will be held on July 8, with a celebration for the bride and groom on July 10. The couple will tie the knot on July 12. An Ashirwad ceremony will take place on July 13, followed by a grand wedding reception on July 14.
