Indian Doctor in US Arrested for Secretly Filming Nude Videos of Children and Adults

The crimes were exposed when Aejaz's wife reported him to the sheriff's office, providing evidence against him.

Oumair Aejaz, an Indian doctor residing in the US, has been arrested for secretly recording videos and taking photos of both children as young as two years old and adults. Aejaz, 40, is accused of placing hidden cameras in changing rooms at his home, workplaces, and a swimming club. Aejaz, who specializes in internal medicine and is married with two children, moved to the US in 2011 and is currently on a work visa.

The crimes were exposed when Aejaz’s wife reported him to the sheriff’s office, providing evidence against him. He is currently held in the Oakland County Jail on a $2 million bond, as reported by CBS News. Aejaz faces charges including one count of child sexually abusive activity, four counts of capturing an image of an unclothed person, five counts of child sexually abusive activity, and five counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

Investigators revealed that Aejaz had hidden cameras in changing rooms, bathrooms, hospital rooms, and various other locations he had access to. His alleged criminal activities date back at least six years. Authorities have seized six computers, four cell phones, and 15 external storage devices, including a hard drive containing 13,000 videos. Analyzing the confiscated items could take up to six months.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard described Aejaz as one of the most disturbing cases he’s encountered, highlighting the extensive range of victims, from a 2-year-old child to adults. “The victimization is so broad and the perversion so great that we’re just beginning to wrap our arms around it,” Bouchard told CBS News.
