The arrested MNAs Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI) including Sher Afzal Marwat, Zain Qureshi, and others are presented in the National Assembly. The arrested MNAs were brought to the National Assembly after Speaker Ayaz Sadiq released their production orders.
All the arrested MNAs including Sher Afzal Marwat, Maulana Naseem Shah, Zain Qureshi, and Sheikh Waqas Akram were presented in the court amid tight security. Videos of MNAs stepping out of the car circulated on social media. Amir Dogar stepped out from the car and started chanting slogans of ‘PM Imran Khan’.
MNAs in their brief media talk confirmed that they were not assaulted by police in custody. MNAs said they would represent their case in the NA today in their speeches. The PTI leaders termed the arrests as fascism, and raised slogans of Long live Imran Khan.

Meanwhile, PTI had challenged the eight-day physical remand of 12 MNAs in Islamabad High Court. The hearing was fixed today headed by Justice Mian Amir Farooq and Justice Saman Rafat.

The Islamabad High Court suspended the decision of the Anti-Terrorism Court to remand the PTI leaders for 8 days, the Prosecutor General said, suspending the decision would create a bad impression. Responding to him, Chief Justice Amir Farooq said: “I have given a clear observation, how will you defend this decision of physical remand.”
The PTI leaders reached the parking of the National Assembly to welcome the arrested PTI MNAs.
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq suspended five officials for security lapse at the National Assembly (NA).
The decision was taken after dozens of PTI lawmakers were arrested from the premises and within the National Assembly on Monday night. The operation continued till Tuesday morning. According to the PTI lawmakers, they were attacked by masked men, as they continued to hide and seek refuge in the Parliament House.
