Sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Aleema Khan has alleged that a plan has been prepared to assassinate him in jail. In her alarming comments, she drew a parallel with how Egyptian leader Mohammad Morsi was killed in prison.
In a post on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday, Aleema Khan alleged that Imran Khan had been informed of a plot to assassinate him while he was incarcerated, following a pattern similar to Morsi’s death in custody in 2019.

She also added that her family has also received the same information from credible sources. “Our family would like to address those behind this plot. Look at history and understand what happened to the Pharaohs and others who employed similar strategies. Under General Bajwa’s tenure, there was an attempt on Imran Khan’s life in Wazirabad. During General Asim Munir’s tenure, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) took control of the Islamabad Judicial Complex, preparing to eliminate him. So why is he still alive? Because the decision of life and death rests solely with Allah Almighty,” she wrote.
“Millions of Pakistanis and Muslims around the world pray for him every day. Like us, they pray because we love him and Pakistan needs him. Imran khan has faced all his concocted cases. He has been cleared in all of them. Yet he is not being allowed out of prison. Imran Khan says: “ISI CONTROLS ADIYALA JAIL.” So can you please explain to all the millions who are praying for his release, why has Imran Khan claimed that “THEY PLAN TO FINISH ME OFF IN JAIL JUST AS THEY DID WITH MORSI IN EGYPT!,” she further added.
Her latest tweet has sparked concerns among the PTI followers and supporters who are desperately fighting and waiting for his safe return.
