Nation Marks Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) with Devotion and Processions

Special prayers were offered after Fajr, asking for the unity of the Muslim world and for the nation's prosperity and progress. In observance of the holy day, a public holiday has been declared.

Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) is being celebrated today with immense religious devotion and solemnity across the nation. The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in each provincial capital.

Special prayers were offered after Fajr, asking for the unity of the Muslim world and for the nation’s prosperity and progress. In observance of the holy day, a public holiday has been declared.

Cities, streets, mosques, and homes are beautifully illuminated with colorful lights to honor the occasion. Processions are taking place in major cities, with religious scholars and speakers emphasizing the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), particularly the importance of following his Sunnah.

Events and gatherings are being held nationwide to reflect on the relevance of the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings in daily life.

In Sindh, including Karachi, celebrations are filled with enthusiasm, with buildings, mosques, and homes adorned with decorations. The provincial government has declared a public holiday and enforced a ban on pillion riding as a security measure.

In Balochistan, the day is being marked with great fervor, with a major procession set to start from Saryab Road in Quetta, following its traditional route and concluding at Jamiat Roy Road. Various religious, political, and social groups have organized events to honor Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and highlight his teachings.

In Quetta, law enforcement agencies have implemented strict security arrangements to ensure peace and order during the celebrations.

In Mandi Bahauddin, a local businessman has prepared 150 maunds of mango shake and 50 maunds of strawberry juice to distribute to participants of the main Eid Miladun Nabi procession. A special refreshment station, or sabeel, has been set up for the occasion.

Preparations for these refreshments began days in advance, with 150 liters of mango shake and 50 liters of strawberry juice readied for distribution. A special stall has been established to serve these refreshments to attendees.

In Pakpattan, celebrations are in full swing, with the district’s 52nd annual procession set to begin from the grain market, where prizes will be awarded at the end.

In Faisalabad, strict security measures have been put in place for the 142 processions and 20 mahafil scheduled for Eid Miladun Nabi. Over 4,500 security personnel have been deployed, with a control room established to monitor the events using CCTV and drone surveillance.

Karachi will witness seven processions along MA Jinnah Road, starting at 2:30 pm. Around 4,332 police officers have been deployed, with SSU snipers ensuring the safety of the main procession. Mobile phone services will be partially suspended along certain routes, and containers have been placed to block adjacent streets. A ban on pillion riding is also in effect.

For added security, 449 officers and Karachi police personnel will be stationed in Nishtar Park. Additionally, 160 police vehicles, including 76 mobiles and 70 motorcycles, will patrol the streets, and SSU teams will be on standby if needed. Alternative traffic routes have been arranged for the main procession.

In Lahore, preparations are underway for breakfast to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi, with processions to be taken out from various parts of the city under tight security.

In Multan, a special camel rally has been organized from Mohalla Daud Jahanian, showcasing beautifully adorned camels that have attracted both children and adults.

In Rawalpindi, security has been finalized for 108 processions, including the main one, with more than 5,000 police officers deployed to ensure safety.

The celebrations across the country are filled with religious zeal, unity, and a deep commitment to following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
