Former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq has stirred controversy by making a controversial statement about Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai during a media interaction.
Former players made a strong critique of the Pakistan Cricket Team led by Babar Azam on their dismal performance in the ongoing ICC ODI Men Cricket World Cup 2023. Making the comments, he highlighted the poor performance of the team.
When questioned about the team’s performance, Abdul Razzaq used a surprising analogy to criticize the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He pointed out that Younis Khan’s positive intentions as captain instilled confidence in him to improve his performance. However, he expressed concern about the lack of dedication to nurturing and honing the skills of players within the PCB.
In a statement that raised eyebrows, Razzaq compared the situation, saying, “If you think that by marrying Aishwarya Rai, a good and pious kid would be born, it would never happen.” He used this analogy to emphasize that the ‘intentions’ of the cricket board must be pure.
