PML-N leader Abid Sher Ali has returned to Pakistan after being in self-imposed exile for three years. He has also confirmed the return of PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan.
Important to note that this is not the first time that PML-N leaders have talked about Nawaz Sharif’s return. The former prime minister has been living in London for the last two years due to “health reasons”. The previous government of PTI claimed that Nawaz Sharif was escaping accountability, hence kept finding ways to delay his return to Pakistan.
On the other hand, PML-N leaders have been dropping hints about Nawaz Sharif’s return since last year. However, with the recently installed PML-N government, the situation is very favorable for Nawaz Sharif’s return. Therefore, PML-N leaders are now confirming Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan.

Abid Sher Ali confirmed that Nawaz Sharif will also come to Pakistan soon. Recalling the conviction of former prime minister, Abid Sher Ali claimed that the PML-N supremo was given a sentence on fabricated proof.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had directed the interior ministry on Tuesday to issue a diplomatic passport to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

PTI’s accusation against Abid Sher Ali
Pertinent to mention, in July 2013, Abid Sher Ali became the Minister of State for Water and Power. However, he ceased to hold ministerial office in July 2017 when the federal cabinet was disbanded following the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after Panama Papers case decision.
Moreover, many PML-N leaders have been accused of corruption, including Abid Sher Ali. Back in 2021, during PTI’s tenure, former adviser to the Prime Minister on Accountability and Interior Shahzad Akbar claimed that the government recovered Rs. 210 billion from land grabbers, 36 of which belonged to PML-N.
Illegally occupied state land worth billions of rupees had been retrieved from PML-N’s stalwarts including Khuram Dastagir, Senator Chaudhary Taveer, Javed Hashmi, Khawaja Asif, Abid Sher Ali, Malik Saiful Malook Khokhar, Daniyal Aziz, Javed Latif, and others, the PM’s aide added.
