PML-N senior vice president Maryam Nawaz held a meeting with Zoe Ware, who is the acting British High Commissioner in Islamabad. Zoe Ware is also the Political Counsellor at the British High Commission in Islamabad.
According to the details, the meeting was held at the central secretariat of PML-N in Lahore where matters of mutual interest were discussed. They placed emphasis on strengthening bilateral relations between their respective countries.
Acting High Commissioner Zoe Ware conveyed her regret over the terrorist attack in Peshawar Police Lines Mosque and the loss of precious human lives. She also expressed solidarity with the people of Pakistan.

Furthermore, Zoe Ware congratulated Maryam Nawaz on her appointment as PML-N’s senior vice president. Last month, PML-N President Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed Maryam Nawaz as the Senior Vice President of PML-N and also the Chief Organizer of the party, which gave her the authority to re-organize the party at all functional tiers/levels.

As one of Pakistan’s prominent political figures, Maryam Nawaz has met several foreign leaders in the past. In August last year, UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Saleem Al Zabi and Deputy Ambassador Rashid Ali met Maryam Nawaz at Jatti Umrah.
The UAE ambassador was given a warm welcome at Jatti Umrah where Maryam Nawaz welcomed both important leaders. The guest ambassadors had a detailed meeting with Maryam Nawaz Sharif and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Earlier in 2021, US Charge d’affaires Angela Aggeler met with Maryam Nawaz. US Consul General William K Makaneole and political officer Khatija Corey accompanied the American envoy.

On the occasion, Maryam Nawaz conveyed her father’s felicitations to President Joe Biden on his election victory and goodwill from the people of Pakistan. She said Nawaz Sharif during his tenure as the premier adopted a noninvasive foreign policy and pursued a pleasant relationship based on mutual trust, peace, and development with Pakistan’s neighbors and the international community.
