Adnan Siddiqui receives flak for meeting Nawaz Sharif in UK

Adnan Siddiqui said the meeting with Nawaz Sharif was productive. Siddiqui quoted Nawaz Sharif as saying that the PMLN-led coalition government has big plans for the promotion of the entertainment industry in Pakistan.

Actor Adnan Siddiqui is receiving flak on social media following his meeting with former PM Nawaz Sharif in the UK. The picture of the actor with the former premier circulated on Twitter on Monday.

In a video message posted later, the actor is visiting the United Kingdom to promote his latest release Dum Mastam. Adnan Siddiqui is the producer of Dum Mastam. He met Nawaz Sharif as part of the promotion of his latest venture. Siddiqui says he invited Nawaz Sharif to the screening of the movie in the UK.

The actor says he told the former pm how the team has worked hard to complete the project. The son of the sitting premier, Salman Shahbaz was also seen in the video. In another video, it could be seen that Salman Shahbaz is taking Adnan Siddiqui to the office of Hussain Nawaz.

Adnan Siddiqui criticized

The official Twitter handle of the PMLN posted the picture. According to media reports, the meeting was held at the office of Hussain Nawaz. In the video message, Adnan Siddiqui said the meeting with Nawaz Sharif was productive. Siddiqui quoted Nawaz Sharif as saying that the PMLN-led coalition government has big plans for the promotion of the entertainment industry in Pakistan.

The actor is now receiving mixed comments on social media from netizens. Former pm Nawaz Sharif is convicted and has been in self-exile in the UK for health reasons allegedly.

People believe that Adnan Siddiqui should not have met Nawaz Sharif since it might damage the promotional activities of the movie in the UK. It is interesting to note that the Pakistani community has been protesting in huge numbers in the UK against the Sharif family since the ouster of Imran Khan from the PM Office.
