Fatalities are being reported after an Amtrak train derailed and hit cars traveling on a nearby interstate. The accident, which happened around 40 miles south of Seattle, took place just before 8 am local time.
The train that careened off a bridge outside Tacoma, Washington, killing three people was traveling at 80 mph on a 30-mph stretch of track.
