Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been honored as the ‘Women of Substance’ by the Karnataka’s Bunt Community. The actress was honored at an event organized by the community to honor the achievement of their people. The event was held on April 7th in Pune. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also inaugurated the Butera Bhavana at the event.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been the part of Indian Film Industry for two decades. Her first Bollywood movie was ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya’ alongside Bobby Deol in 1997. The movie was largely a commercial failure as critics were unimpressed by the acting skills of the Miss World 1994, Aishwarya Rai in the movie.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has represented India at various international festivals and has appeared several times at Cannes International Film Festival and Oscars Awards. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is considered an epitome of grace and beauty.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the recipient of French Honor Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters), Padma Shri and is considered to be one of the most influential celebrities in India. The actress has been the part of charities like Smile Train Foundation, UNAIDS, CPAA, Polio, Eye Donation.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has become more selective in her scripts since her marriage. She took a break from her acting career after the birth of her daughter Aradhaya Bachchan.
She last appeared in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ in a supporting role. Currently, she is working on her next movie, ‘Fanney Khan’ that features Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. The movie is slated to release in June 2018.
