As coronavirus cases continue to rise, singer Ali Zafar has requested the government to impose a lockdown in Lahore to prevent spread of the disease.
Ali urged Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to impose a 15-day lockdown in the provincial capital because the city has become a hot spot for coronavirus.
Taking to Twitter, the singer said the increasing number of infections are putting unbearable pressure on the healthcare system.

“Dear PM @ImranKhanPTI, CM @UsmanAKBuzdar Urging you to consider locking down Lahore for 15 days at least as the entire city has become a hot spot for the virus itself with appx 2 million people infected & growing exponentially putting unbearable pressure on the healthcare system,” he tweeted.
Over 128,000 have been infected with COVID-19 and over 2400 people lost their lives to the deadly disease across the country.

PM, CM Punjab exchange views on corona virus, locust attack situation
Corona virus and locust situation in the province has been discussed by Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar.
Prime Minister Imran during his two days visit to Lahore will preside over an important meeting of Punjab corona cabinet committee.
Day to day growing number of coronavirus cases will be the focus of this meeting. Certain important decisions will be taken aimed at containing the spread of the novel virus.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will also chair a meeting on locust situation in the province besides holding a meeting with governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar.
Opposition doing point scoring on COVID-19 pandemic: CM Punjab
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Saturday said that the opposition is doing point-scoring on corona virus pandemic.
In a statement the CM said, �The nation is aware of the campaign that the opposition ran against coronavirus by raising hollow slogans. 22 crore people have become repugnant to the opposition parties� politics.
Punjab government has taken every possible step in consultation with PM Imran Khan to fight against Corona Virus epidemic and it stands with virus infected people, he remarked.
Opposition is doing politics on virus issue to pursue its agenda of saving their corruption, he said adding opposition has ditched the people in this critical juncture.
