Pakistani singer Ali Zafar raised the issue of Gaza at the DIAFA Awards in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Zafar had won the award of Best Pakistani Singer at the award ceremony. Taking to the stage, he appreciated the platform of the DIAFA Awards for bringing to light the ongoing atrocities in Gaza.
“I am indebted to the committee and the team and particularly moved by the gesture that this ceremony brings to light the plights of a very important cause which is what is happening in Gaza, what has been happening in Palestine for decades,” he said.
Later the singer-turned-actor was seen rubbing shoulders with Bollywood celebrities. Zafar has appeared in quite a few Bollywood movies including Mera Brother ki Dulhan, Tere Bin Laden, and others.
Pakistani celebrities are showing unequivocal support for Gaza. They have been using their social media platforms to bring to light the atrocities in Gaza. He urged celebrities to leverage their social media platforms to raise the issue as much as possible.

Currently, a ceasefire agreement is being followed between Hamas and Israel following relentless and indiscriminate bombing in Gaza by Israeli forces. The death toll from the month-long conflict has claimed more than 12,000 lives in Gaza. Children are among the most killed in this recent bout of the deadly Israel-Palestine conflict.
