Recently married Bollywood couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt announced they will be soon having a child. Alia Bhatt shared the picture from the hospital where she was having her check-up. Ranbir Kapoor is also seen in the picture.
The Instagram post shows the couple watching the sonogram in the hospital with the screen blurred and a heart emoticon posted on it. The caption on the post of Alia Bhatt reads: “Our baby….. coming soon.”
Felicitations started pouring in for the couple on social media. Mouni Roy, the co-star from Brahmastra commented on the post and said: “Immensely happy” with a heart emoticon. Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan also commented on the post. She said: “congratulations mama and papa lion.”
Other Bollywood celebrities including Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra, Tiger Shroff, and Parineeti Chopra also congratulated the couple.
A few social media users believe that this might be a promotional gimmick for their upcoming Brahmastra since it is too early for the couple to expect a baby.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had tied the knot in April in what was being dubbed one of the biggest weddings in the Indian film industry. Many stars were among close family and friends at the low-key event, held at the couple’s Mumbai home.
Their names were trending on Twitter and social media is brimming with good wishes for them. The actors are among the most popular faces of Bollywood, with millions of fans the world over.

A few days back Ranbir Kapoor spoke about his marriage with Alia Bhatt. The actor said: “It has been a very big year for me, a great year for me, I got married. It is a beautiful thing that has happened in my life. I used to say in my films,” referring to Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, “that Shaadi is dal chawal for pachaas saal till you die. Arey life mein thoda bahut keema pav, tangdi kebab, hakka noodles bhi hona chahiye na!”
The actor added, “But boss, after my experiences in life, I can say that dal chawal is the best. My life with Alia is the best. Alia is dal chawal with tadka, pickles and onions, everything! So, I couldn’t have asked for a better life partner.”
