According to Pakwheels, there are reports that Suzuki is launching the new version of Swift in the local market in 2021. The old model of the hatchback is to be discontinued in August of this year.
In the notification regarding the discontinuance in August 2020, Suzuki Pakistan announced that it would produce 2,432 units of swift for one year.
According to the details given, the company will produce 668 DLX NAV variants and 2423 AT NAV variants by August this year.
According to Pakwheels, the company would launch the hatchback in the second quarter of this year, but it will be available to consumers by the end of the year.
It is speculated that the company will launch the fourth-generation version of the swift in Pakistan. It was launched in Japan in 2016. Although the 4th generation swift in Japan has gotten a facelift in 2020, Pakistan is reported to see the pre-facelift version in the market.

There is very little information on the specific features of the model to be launched in Pakistan. However, it is expected to come with a 1.2L 4-cylinder K12M Naturally Aspirated engine mated with 5-Speed Manual or 5-Speed AGS Transmission. The engine would have 82 hp and 113Nm of torque.
