Furious Indian social media users grilled American comedian Jeremy Mclellan for posting a comical picture of Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.
Mclellan has posted an edited picture of himself with Abhinandan Varthaman on his Twitter account. The picture showed Abhinandan Varthaman sipping from the famous cup of tea given to him during his brief captivity in Pakistan last year in February.
Why are Indians messaging me saying he’s a hero. I know he’s a hero that’s why I gave him tea and took a picture with him.

The caption of the picture read: ‘Stay Safe, Stay Home’- a crucial message on global pandemic coronavirus, urging people to adopt self-isolation and social distancing by staying at homes to protect themselves from the virus.
The tweet stirred fury among Indian social media users who began a diatribe against Jeremy Mclellan on Twitter. Unrelenting to the tirade on social media, Jeremy Mclellan continued trolling the Indian bullies.
Indians are the best at insults because it always takes me a few minutes to figure out what’s going on. pic.twitter.com/C4MDwk7XJX

Because of your angry messages I would like to announce that I am now pro-India and anti-Pakistan. Apparently India has more people/money and is ruled by my wise and powerful step-dad Modi. They also invented space ships 7,000 years ago. Excited for my upcoming comedy tour! 🇮🇳 pic.twitter.com/Eim4FMRG73
