“The question of territorial integration was discussed by great think tanks and it was an immense question for many”, said the Senator. He made these statements while talking to the prominent anchorperson of GNN Dr. Moeed Pirzada in his Primetime Show “live with Moeed Pirzada.”
“Pakistan is becoming in a way a nucleus to give strategic direction to the region” Senator Kakar. The anchorperson agreed with the senator and quoted a prominent American journalist Madero that he too was of the view that Pakistan is going to be a stable country and hence, it is no more attractive country for international journalists to write about.
“Some private and unofficial sources reveal that Baloch Nationalist leaders are ready to compromise with the government of Pakistan but no formal way has been used up till now”, said Anwar ul Haq Kakar.
Upon asking about the current inactive role of many insurgent organizations in Baluchistan Mr. Kakar said, “The shelf life of many insurgent organizations in Baluchistan was not more than a decade and that decade has passed over”. He added that the government had defeated those organizations.
Currently, only one organization Baluch Liberation Army (BLA) is active in Baluchistan. In November 2018, BLA had attacked Chinese consulate in Karachi, which was orchestrated from Afghanistan. The mastermind of the attack Aslam Achu was killed in suicide attack in December last year in Kandahar province of Afghanistan. BLA‘s another facilitator and main suspect of the attack has also been arrested from Sharjah.

He further told that many leaders of the Baloch insurgent groups have taken political asylum in the UK. “British government knows many Baloch leaders who are enjoying asylum were involved in violence, but they cannot deport them according to the Geneva Convention of 1951,” said Mr. Kakar.
