Aqeel Malik shocked by popularity of Imran Khan, sparks online laughter

He accused Imran Khan and PTI of damaging Pakistan and taking every chance to harm the country. Aqeel Malik said that he had shown evidence against Imran Khan in his press conference.

Netizens posted hilarious comments on social media after a video clip of PMLN leader Barrister Aqeel Malik calling Imran Khan the most popular leader of the country went viral on social media.

On Monday, while addressing the press conference, Barrister Aqeel Malik said that he is surprised and baffled regarding the love and support Imran Khan and his party PTI still receive in public, despite their efforts to sabotage Pakistan.

He accused Imran Khan and PTI of damaging Pakistan and taking every chance to harm the country. Aqeel Malik said that he had shown evidence against Imran Khan in his press conference and they are repeatedly showing it but to no avail. His popularity and support among the masses are intact. He said it is unclear why it is so.

He gave examples of a resolution passed in the American Congress. He accused the party of running organized propaganda against the state institutions and stated that the door for negotiations with the party has been closed. He said irrefutable evidence has been collected from the PTI Media cell.

“The contacts and WhatsApp messages [of Raoof Hasan] with Indian journalists have been seen by all which prove that he is in touch with everyone who is working on anti-Pakistan agenda. Political parties do politics, but they are busy round the cloak to undermine roots of the country from all sides,” he further alleged, adding that PTI has caused irreparable damage to Pakistan with a systematic campaign against state institutions.

He added that for the negotiations to happen PTI needs to correct its approach. “If you want a place in politics, you must assure the Pakistani people, all politicians and institutions that you will abandon the anti-Pakistan agenda, you will not be used against Pakistan,” he added.
