Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem won another gold medal for Pakistan at the Islamic Solidarity Games on Friday in Konya, Turkey. This is Arshad Nadeem’s second gold medal within a week despite serious shoulder and elbow injuries.
Nadeem led the table with a throw of 88.55m in the Men’s Javelin Throw competition. Though this is not his personal best as he previously achieved a record-breaking mark of 90.18m in the Commonwealth Games 2022 concluded last week. He was far ahead of his opponents in the Islamic Solidarity Games. Arshad threw 88.55m in his fifth attempt.
This is Arshad Nadeem’s first Gold Medal in the Islamic Solidarity Games. The Pakistani athlete is currently without a much-needed training and medical facility. His second gold medal for Pakistan brought him praise and appreciation from the public.

Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem scripted history last week after he won a Gold Medal for Pakistan in the Javelin Throw at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham on Sunday.
Arshad Nadeem made the nation proud with his gold medal, second for Pakistan in the CWG2022. Earlier weightlifter Nooh Butt won the gold medal for Pakistan in the CWG 2022. Nadeem’s win is not ordinary as he made and broke some records. Arshad Nadeem in his final throw became the first South Asian to cross the 90m barrier in Javelin Throw.

He is also the first Pakistani to win a gold medal in Javelin Throw for Pakistan in Commonwealth Games. Nadeem is also the first Pakistani to win a gold medal for Pakistan in track and field games in 60 years.
Nadeem achieved the feat with a critical shoulder and elbow injury. He came into the field without any professional coaching and mentoring. Nadeem even lacked basic facilities provided to any athlete by the government.
Arshad even broke his personal record best. His personal best has been the 86.81m throw. He has now set his personal best at 90.18 m throw. Stadium echoed with cheers and applause as Arshad Nadeem set a record.
