Pakistani singing sensations Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan enthralled a large number of spectators at their maiden concert in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The historic concert was held in Riyadh on Friday.

The concert was part of the ‘Riyadh Season’ commenced last week, with fans eager to experience a momentous moment watching Pakistan’s two icons performing in an ultra-conservative Kingdom.
Indian and Pakistani residents attended the concert en-masse, both singers having a resounding musical career in cross-border Bollywood.

‘Riyadh Season’ is an initiative undertaken to cushion the over-ambitious Vision 2030, which aims to thrive in tourism in Saudi Arabia. ‘Riyadh Season’ kicked off on October 11 will continue for 2 months, ending on December 15th. It will include a wide range of artistic, sporting and cultural events, including theater, music performances, and fashion shows.
Recently, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan along with Jackie Chan, Jason Momoa, Jean-Claude Van Damme took part in Saudi-government backed summit to promote the Kingdom’s entertainment projects.

Two days ago, Saudi Royal Court Adviser and Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in the Kingdom, Turki Alalshikh announced the show on his Twitter account.
The tweet read: “For our Indian and Pakistani brothers and sisters in Riyadh, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be waiting for you on the 25th of October.”
The celebrated singer Atif Aslam also recently became the first Pakistani to win his very own star at the Dubai Walk of Fame. He was recognized for his remarkable career in the music industry in both India and Pakistan.
