The production team of ‘Race 3′ has approached Pakistani singer Atif Aslam to sing a romantic song in the movie penned down by lead actor Salman Khan, following an ongoing ban promulgated by Indian Film Association on Pakistani artists working in Bollywood last month.
“Atif has been a part of every Race film and we felt he would be perfect for this romantic song. It will be a surprise for the audience,” said producer Ramesh Taurani.
With Salman Khan in the lead roles, the movie has already become a highly anticipated movie of the year and producers are leaving no stone unturned to add volumes to this hype. Hence they have successfully persuaded Atif Aslam to continue his association with the franchise.

One apparent reason for Atif Aslam’s selection for the romantic number is Salman Khan’s apparent tussle with singer Arijit Singh, who is considered a convincing alternative to Atif Aslam in the film industry.
The tussle between the singer and actor is widely reported in the media where Arijit Singh once alleged that Salman Khan sacked him from singing in his movie.
The same speculations were made at the time of ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’s’ romantic number ‘Dil Diyyan Gallan’ sung by Atif Aslam. It was rumored that Salman Khan opted for Atif Aslam over Arijit Singh.
However, this time, Atif Aslam’s association with ‘Race 3′ coincides with the renewed call made by singer turned politician Babul Supriyo last month to ban Pakistani artist working in the Indian industry.

The politician also stressed to dub Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s song in Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Welcome to New York’ in Arijit Singh’s voice.
Atif Aslam consequentially refused to promote his song ‘Sehmi Hai Dhadkan’ in Das Dev. Music director and composer Vipin Mehta backed Atif Aslam’s decision to not promote his song in the Bollywood movie.
