Information Minister Atta Tarar says the man was not praying in the shipping container but filming a TikTok video on his phone. He further stated that the man had challenged his friends to make a TikTok video.
“He wasn’t praying, but filming a TikTok video,” the information told reporters in Rawalpindi. Tarar asserted that the man was a resident of Mandi Bahauddin. Added that he is fine and alive. However, he sustained injuries on his arms and shoulders due to a fall.
He claimed PTI is spreading propaganda regarding the viral video of the man being thrown down from the container by security forces. Tarar said that the man was alive as opposed to PTI’s claim that he was dead.
Tarar also criticized the ongoing “politicization of dead bodies”, clarifying that neither PIMS nor Polyclinic hospitals had received any bodies, as confirmed in their statements.
“It is very sad that Tehreek-e-Insaf is doing politics on dead bodies. First, a sniper shot, then direct fire was claimed, but three days later no video or evidence could be produced. Old photos and videos, even pictures of Gaza atrocities, were shared on social media,” said Atta Tarar in a tweet on Saturday.

“A fake picture of the blue area covered in blood was circulated. The fact is that there was no firing, no blood was seen. His false narrative has been rejected by the public. The miscreants, who are arrested, will have a speedy trial and will be brought to the logical conclusion. Tehreek-e-Insaf’s anti-national agenda has been exposed,” he added further.
He has accused PTI of using fake images and even using Artificial Intelligence to create propaganda.
