At least six men were killed in a brutal attack on a Karachi-bound bus in Gwadar’s Kalmat area on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred in the Kalmat area, where five people died instantly, and one succumbed to injuries during treatment in the hospital. Authorities confirmed that all the victims were travelling to Karachi from Gwadar and included one man from Multan.
Jiwani Station House Officer Khalid Dasti has said the dead and the injured were rushed to the Pasni Hospital.
The killing of six men adds to the long list of terror-related activities in the province, in which passengers are killed after being intercepted while traveling.

A few days ago, armed assailants killed four labourers from Punjab in Mangochar, Balochistan. The workers were involved in tubewell installation in Langzai. Local officials confirmed that the victims were from Sadiqabad, Punjab.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident, President Asif Ali Zardari said: “The terrorists are the enemies of the country’s development and prosperity of Balochistan. They cannot see progress in Balochistan.”
Earlier this month, armed assailants attacked the Quetta-Peshawar Jaffar Express in Balochistan’s Bolan district, injuring the train driver after detonating a railway track and opening fire. Security personnel on board engaged in a heavy exchange of gunfire, while emergency measures were implemented at the Sibi hospital.
According to Levies officials, the attack occurred in the Peru Kanri area of Kach district. Sources informed Geo News that the assailants first detonated explosives on a railway track before opening fire on the train, which was carrying over 400 passengers.
A heavy exchange of gunfire ensued between the security personnel on board and the attackers. Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind confirmed reports of intense firing and stated that multiple ambulances were dispatched to the site, with an emergency declared at Sibi hospital.
One of the major terror attacks in Balochistan, the authorities are still investigating the incident.
