The actor turned anchor & political analyst also hit out on the makers of “Na Maloom Afraad 2”. He said the film would have been equally successful even without an item number.

“Capitalising women on their sexuality to get a few eyeballs is pathetic. Women’s bodies can’t be used to sell films; you need to use their talent and capability. You’re not damaging me, you’re damaging women. I’m sure Na Maloom Afraad-2 would’ve done as well without an item number.”
The actor already enjoys extreme popularity among his female fan following. Such remarks will further broaden his popularity among his followers.

Hamza Ali Abbasi is the leading man in the film industry to challenge the culture of “objectifying women” in songs.
He recently rallied to rescue Mahira Khan after she was severely slammed for her controversial pictures with Ranbir Kapoor.
The actor, however, incurred public displeasure for taking up a controversial role in movie Jawani Phir Nahi Ani prequel. His role in the movie was in contradiction to his words and thoughts as a social media activist in real life.
His remarks and unpleasant reaction, however, lends adequate explanation to his decision of quitting the team of ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2″.

The actor also expressed his admiration for the director of “WAAR” Bilal Lashari. He thinks the director substantially differ from the other directors working in the industry.
“Bilal Lashari is not like other directors making romantic-comedy for the sake of earning few bucks. Bilal Lashari brings larger than life ideas in his movies and that particularly inspires him,” Hamza said.

Basically an actor, Abbasi is also an active member of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf. Due to his fearless comments on social injustices, Abbasi has become an influential social media activist with massive followers.
