Azam Swati reveals shocking details of his custodial torture

Azam Swati said he was beaten at home and then was also beaten throughout the car journey to the unknown location and the sounds of his screams were recorded.

PTI Senator Azam Swati has revealed shocking details of his custodial torture. He also vowed that he will not rest until he receives justice and is ready to take the matter of his custodial torture to international institutions.

While addressing a hard-hitting press conference – which interestingly received no live media coverage – Azam Swati said he would have no issues if he was killed, however, he was dishonored in the worst possible way and would knock on the doors of international institutions until he receives justice.

Moving on, Azam Swati, while naming another Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) official, revealed the harrowing details of his torture. He said Assistant Director of FIA Cyber Crime Wing Ayaz should be called in for questioning.

Azam Swati accused the FIA official of driving him to an unknown location where he was tortured. He said a black cloth – the same which executioners use to cover the faces of those sentenced to death by hanging – was used to blindfold him. Before he was blindfolded, he saw the Assistant Director FIA in the driver’s seat who then took him to unknown roads.

Azam Swati said he was beaten at home and then was also beaten throughout the car journey to the unknown location and the sounds of his screams were recorded. He urged authorities to check the phones of those accused.

“Conduct forensics, and check phones. You’ll know who was laughing while hearing my screams. I was stripped naked and beaten,” Azam Swati said.

“If I am lying then Allah will punish me,” Azam Swati added.

Earlier, Azam Swati named Major General Faisal and Sector Commander Faheem and accused them of torture against a civilian. Azam Swat also called for authorities to remove the officers from their posts so that they do not misuse their power.
