Punjab’s Information Minister Azma Bokhari accused PTI of creating unrest in Punjab over the alleged rape case reported in the Punjab Group of College in Lahore.

She said that PTI incited students on social media to protest against the government.

Reacting to Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar’s press conference, Minister Azma Bukhari said that members of the Insaf Student Wing were found involved in violent acts and vandalism, Express News reported. “Bhachar Sahib, you’re not as innocent as you try to appear,” she remarked.

She asserted that there is video evidence to prove former officials of the Insaf Student Wing are involved in inciting students to protest. Bokhari also said that PTI also tried to defame the girl and her family. Adding that PTI has the habit of launching a vile campaign against women, Maryam Nawaz and she has been the target of the vile campaign.

The Information Minister Azma Bokhari warned that no one will be allowed to disrupt peace in Punjab or spread unrest regarding the alleged Punjab College rape case. Those involved in spreading fake information and propaganda, regardless of their profession, will face strict action.

PTI’s opposition leader in Punjab Malik Ahmed Khan Bachar in a press conference on Wednesday said that Maryam Nawaz issued a charge sheet against PTI to cover up her bad governance and is blaming PTI for hiding her incompetence.

The provincial government has also imposed Section 144 in the province, placing a complete ban on protests and public rallies. The aggressive protests by the students across Punjab have entered its fifth day. Several students have been injured and are under treatment at the hospital.

Punjab Police claims to have arrested more than 200 people. Police claim the arrested protestors are not students in fact they are outsiders posing as students who are triggering students against the government.
