Babar Azam expected to tie the knot soon, Muhammad Rizwan

On the other hand, Babar Azam is having his best PSL season so far. He is leading the PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi which has qualified for the playoff round of PSL 9.

As per the latest revelation by Pakistani cricketer Muhammad Rizwan, former skipper Babar Azam is set to tie the knot soon.

In an interview with a local journalist, Rizwan said that he has encouraged several Pakistani players including Shadab Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi to get married. He is also convincing Babar Azam to tie the knot, and he is expected to get married soon.

In a brief interview, Rizwan stressed the importance of getting married. The captain of the PSL franchise Multan Sultans added that marriage has significance in religion Islam too. It is a blissful relationship and Babar Azam should tie the knot soon.

Earlier, Former skipper Babar Azam and the current skipper of PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi dedicated his magnificent performance to his mother.

Babar Azam scored his first century of PSL 9 in the match against Islamabad United in Lahore yesterday. Delighted on his match performance, he said that this was the first time his mother had come to watch his match in the stadium. Hence, he is very excited and wants to dedicate his victory and performance to his mother.

“My mother came [to watch] for the first time. She’s very happy. She enjoyed it. She always watches at home but she proved to be [a source of] good luck for me,” expressed Azam, echoing the sentiment of familial support that often transcends the boundaries of the cricketing arena.

Babar Azam had resigned from the captaincy of all formats in November 2023. The decision followed Pakistan’s disappointing exit from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 group stage.

Azam, a highly regarded batter, shared the news on his X account, stating, “It’s a difficult decision, but I feel it is the right time for this call. I will continue to represent Pakistan as a player in all three formats.”
