Skipper Babar Azam gives an encouraging message to Muhammad Nawaz after the last-over defeat from India in the first match of the T20 World Cup 2022.
Pakistan lost the match in the last over after a nail-biting contest. Video released by Pakistan Cricket Team from the dressing room after the match goes viral on social media. Babar Azam backed up the players, especially Nawaz who was given the last over. While talking to Nawaz, he asked him not to panic since it was the beginning of the tournament, and there are many more matches to play in the tournament.
He believes the team played well but made a few mistakes they have to overcome. Babar said they would start afresh. Babar added that teams collectively fail or win; no individual player should be blamed or consider himself responsible for the defeat. He asked to maintain unity in the team.

The skipper backed up Nawaz and said that he does not need to worry; he still believed in him. Babar added that Nawaz is his key player, and he has won the matches in the past and he would win the matches in the future too. Azam said that he would continue to believe in Nawaz. He appreciated him for taking the match to the end. Babar added that the same team has given some very good performances in the recent past.

Pictures of Muhammad Nawaz sitting upset in the dressing room were shared online. Babar Azam said that they would bounce back stronger. Fans also encouraged the Pakistan Cricket Team though they believe they need to overcome their mistakes to win the big tournaments.
