Babar Azam, one of the most popular cricketers globally, is usually accustomed to fans’ adoration. However, this fame can sometimes become overwhelming. The situation in Cardiff highlighted this, as the constant demand for pictures and autographs led to a rare moment of frustration for the Pakistani captain.
In a video uploaded on social media, Babar can be heard pleading with the crowd, saying, “Will you give me two minutes? Don’t come closer; give me two seconds.” Despite his requests, the fans continued to pester him, prompting him to call on security personnel to disperse the crowd. Notably, the Men in Green are scheduled to play the third match of the four-match T20I series against England today. The England team currently leads the series 1-0.
