In Pakistan, social media platforms brimmed with heartwarming pictures of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari with her fiancé, Mahmood Chaudhry, at their engagement ceremony yesterday.
Soon after the engagement, Bakhtawar took to her Twitter account and shared the images herself, while a few images were released by Pakistan People’s Party media cell on social media. The images gave a brief glimpse of an intimate engagement ceremony. According to reports, only 150 people attended the ceremony.

Bakhtawar looked ethereal in an appealing pink outfit with a Mughal-inspires statement shawl, while the groom was dressed up in an all-cream traditional outfit. The bride donned a minimal look at her engagement ceremony. She paired her pink dress with a small silver necklace. The pink floral arrangement of the engagement ceremony perfectly fitted with the pink outfit of the bride. The internet users from across Pakistan sent felicitations and warm wishes to the couple.’
Bakhtawar Bhutto wore wore an intricately embroidered ensemble and chaddar by designer Nida Azwer on the occasion of her engagement, and looked absolutely beautiful.

With a small gathering, only friends and family members attended the gathering. PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto, virtually attended the gathering as he could not join his family in-person. Bilawal has been in quarantine after he is testing positive for coronavirus just a day before the engagement ceremony.
The preparations for the engagement ceremony had been completed at the Bilawal House on Thursday night, where guests had been asked to follow strict coronavirus SOPs. The former president made a brief appearance at the ceremony since he is currently under treatment, as quoted by several media outlets.

Earlier, on Friday morning, Bakhtawar released an emotional message on Twitter ahead of her engagement ceremony scheduled today.
She expressed gratitude to the people for sending her felicitation and warm wishes. The daughter of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto hinted at an intimate ceremony with few people in attendance.
Reportedly, other leaders also confirmed the presence of close family members and friends in the engagement ceremony. PPP leader Shehla Raza had confirmed the ceremony to be an intimate affair.

Social media frenzy
The images of Mahmood Chaudhry will finally put to rest the speculations about him rife on social media. Earlier, before the engagement, his fake images and information circulated on social media.
On Thursday, Bakhtawar Bhutto negated the authenticity of videos of her engagement ceremony circulating on social media.

Bakhtawar took to Twitter to categorically debunk the authenticity of a video shared by an internet user, associating it with her engagement ceremony.
“These are not my videos nor have anything to do with me. If reading isn’t your specialty (clearly says 27th on the leaked cards), then perhaps basic vision will allow you to see Bakhtawar is not in any of these videos, neither are her very identifiable family members,” wrote Bakhtawar in a tweet.

In the past two days, a video from an unknown source circulated on social media. The video was from a wedding function, showing people dancing to the songs. A score of other PPP leaders has also denied the fake video. Perhaps, it was a clickbait video to gain attention on social media.
Then it was reportedly rumored that Chaudhary was an Ahmadi; later on, PPP had to deny the false information circulating on social media.
