Bakhtawar Bhutto to recreate late Benazir’s Nikkah look

Bakhtawar Bhutto, daughter of former President Asif Ali Zardari has decided to recreate her mother’s Benazir Bhutto’s Nikkah look at her wedding

Bakhtawar Bhutto, daughter of former President Asif Ali Zardari has decided to recreate her mother’s Benazir Bhutto’s Nikkah look at her wedding.

Bhutto has chosen the same fashion designer, Resham Revaj that Benazir had chosen for her Nikkah with Zardari. Benazir had worn a green dress traditional dress for her Nikkah ceremony. The brand has confirmed the news that Bakhtawar has hired their services. According to the Instagram post, Bakhtawar will recreate Benazir’s Nikkah look on her Dholki.

The Instagram post of the fashion brand said, “The radiant Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto wore a hand-worked embellished Resham Revaj creation on her nikkah in 1987.”

“Congratulations to Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari on her engagement, feeling honored that she wants to recreate Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto’s nikkah jorah designed by #ReshamRevaj. Sharing the picture of the original outfit,” wrote the brand in another Instagram post.

Benazir Bhutto looked like a quintessential princess as she picked up elegant dresses for her wedding functions. Bhutto, 34, had tied the knot with Zardari, 34, in an arranged marriage. A large wedding reception was held in Kikri Ground, Lyari that was attended by family members of Zardari, Bhutto clan, and party followers.

The social media is abuzz with the news of the marriage of Bakhtawar Bhutto with a UAE-based businessman scheduled in January next year.

The news of the marriage of Bakhtawar broke on social media last week. The preparations for the engagement ceremony are in full swing as she braces up to exchange rings with Mahmood, son of US-based businessman, Younus Chaudhry.

A wedding card of Bakhtawar and Mahmood has been making rounds on social media since Friday, giving rise to speculations regarding her marriage. According to media reports, Bakhtawar is set to engage Mahmood for marriage on 27th November 2020. The couple will tie the knot on January 27th, 2021, next year. As per the invitation card, the ceremony will be held at Bilawal House in Karachi.

Bakhtawar, 30, holds a Masters Honors in English, from the University of Edinburgh. She is an education enthusiast who is associated with Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed Institute of Science and Technology.

Mahmood, on the other hand, is the son of business and real-estate tycoon Younis Chaudhry. Chaudhry migrated to Canada from a remote village in Pakistan in 1973.

Pakistan People’s Party also made the announcement from its official Twitter account on Saturday, November 14th. “President @AAliZardari is pleased to announce, with the grace of God, the engagement of his and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s daughter @BakhtawarBZ with Mr. Mahmood Chaudhry on November 27, 2020,” read the tweet.
