Social media expresses solidarity with Prime Minister Imran Khan as he announced to go for a Vote of Confidence in National Assembly following the senate elections on Wednesday.

As per the reports, the government has moved a summary to the president to summon a new session of the lower house of Parliament for a vote of confidence for Prime Minister Imran Khan from the National Assembly. The decision came in the backdrop of an upset in the Senate elections in which Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani of Pakistan Democratic Movement won the general seat from Federal Capital by securing 169 votes against 164 secured by Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh of PTI.

“PTI has unanimously decided that Prime Minister Imran Khan will take a vote of confidence from the National Assembly,” Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said while addressing a press conference along with Federal Ministers Shafqat Mehmood, Asad Umar, Shireen Mazari, Fawad Chaudhry, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Hammad Azhar, and others.

Several notable journalists too have appreciated the bold and courageous decision of premier Imran Khan to go for a risky decision of ‘vote of confidence. His followers believe, Imran Khan will win the vote of confidence in the National Assembly and will defeat the corrupt mafias in Pakistan’s political setup.

Hailing the decision of the PM Imran Khan, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry challenged the opposition members to accept the challenge of the government or confess their malpractices in the senate elections.

“Imran Khan has given a big challenge today by deciding a vote of confidence. The government will not rule like rats. The opposition must now prove its majority or else accept the guilt of buying elections,” said Fawad Chaudhry.

As per the latest reports, the Government has decided to retain Sadiq Sanjrani as their next chairman senate.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation this evening. Sadiq Sanjarani will be the PTI-backed candidate for the post of Chairman Senate,” said Fawad Chaudhry in the latest update.
