In a major slip of the tongue, PPP Co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called KMC, ‘KFC’ while addressing the rally.
The incident happened while he was addressing the rally in Karachi and urging people to vote for PPP for a progressive development in the city.
He implied that people should vote for the PPP to bring a unanimous government in provincial and federal governments. With the PPP already leading the local government in Karachi, their representations at all three levels will expedite the development projects in the country’s biggest city-Karachi.
Instead of saying KMC (Karachi Municipal Corporation), he said it KFC- a leading international food chain in Pakistan. Bilawal said, “Provincial government bhi apka, KFC (KMC) bhi apka, federal bhi apka.”
The video of Bilawal Bhutto’s faux pass circulated on social media heavily on Thursday. Bilawal Bhutto presented his election manifesto at a political rally.

During a public gathering commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Benazir Bhutto in Larkana, Bilawal, the day before, revealed 10 objectives. He explained that these would serve as the immediate targets for his party if they were to assume control of the federal government following the elections on February 8, 2024.
He talked at length regarding the development projects and policy work undertaken by PPP. Some of his plans include abolishing 17 ministries which according to him will save Rs. 300 billion.
Bhutto says he will redirect subsidies for fertilizers, energy, and other industries to the downtrodden and vulnerable section of society. Talking about other projects he said, “We have to build climate-resilient houses, resilient infrastructure, resilient irrigation and small dams and the agriculture sector has to be made shock resistant.”
Regarding him contesting elections from Lahore, he said, that the people of Lahore should be given ample choices to select their Chief Minister. “Lahore’s people should be given a choice, instead of imposing a politician for the fourth time over them or by bringing back the player, who will once again impose a Bozdar-like CM on them.
