In the midst of various accusations being hurled at him, Chairman Pakistan People Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has arrived in New York City to begin what he claims is a seven-day personal visit to the US.
Upon his arrival in the US, he refused to speak to the media as he claimed to be on a personal visit. He said that his next visit is scheduled to be in September and that is when he will address the media.
The Special Assistant to Prime Minister of Pakistan on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill has accused the PPP chairman of seeking “backdoor” deals in the US.
During a press conference in Karachi on Saturday, Gill expressed that Bhutto attempted to find a new ‘line of work’ as a PM in Pakistan and dropped his CVs wherever he could but couldn’t achieve anything.

“Subsequent to getting a helpless reaction from all over, Bilawal is setting out on an excursion to the USA to kindly meet a few groups for the positions he has been yearning for,” he added.
Gill said that Bilawal has gone abroad to look for work against the national interest, and cautioned him to cease such activities as receiving high administrative roles through conspiring and collaboration doesn’t work anymore.
Commenting on his rise to the leadership position, SAPM said that Bilawal has made this far due to nepotism, rather than any significant individual achievements. He added that the government has no will or arrangement to add chairman PPP’s name to the ECL
The PPP reacted back to Gill’s statement, denouncing the “puppet government” of being stressed over Bhutto’s visit for unknown reasons.

“Fawad Chaudhry, Shahbaz Gill and Farrukh Habib are stressed that their chief Imran Khan is unable to visit the US without diplomatic immunity on account of forthcoming cases in the American courts,” PPP’s Parliamentary Secretary Shazia Marri had said responding to Shehbaz Gill’s remarks.
Marri had said Bhutto had trust in the strength of individuals of Pakistan and it has been demonstrated by how the general elections in 2018 were stolen from the PPP by making obstacles in the party’s way.
Personal remarks
Name-calling and giving personal remarks has been increasing over the past few years in Pakistan’s politics, with MNAs and even respectable federal ministers calling the opposite benches with derogatory names.
It was especially relevant during the recent budget sessions in the National Assembly in June 2021, where even during the budget speech words like “Billo Rani” were being hurled at the PPP leader. Similarly, PTI’s women MNAs have been called derogatory terms during the nationally televised NA sessions.

Many sessions had to be prematurely suspended by the speaker, and some MNAs from both benches had been even barred from entering the assembly halls.
