Bill Gates, who is an avid philanthropist along with being a billionaire, has announced that he will be increasing the amount of aid that is given to Pakistan by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for various endeavors related to the health sector in the country.
In a letter to Saira Afzal, the Minister of National Health Services, he expressed his satisfaction with the way that the Government of Pakistan successfully conducted the polio eradication campaign.
Various politicians and government officials rebuked these careless statements made by the White House by presenting statistics that confirmed that no other ally of the United States
Bill Gates was also impressed by the numerous innovations that were being ventured into by the health sector of Pakistan in the field of reproductive health with a stronger emphasis to enhance childcare. An official of the National Health Services said that the Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation was planning to multiply their aid for various health initiatives in Pakistan.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation provides both technical and financial resources as well as assistance to initiate and carry out specific vaccination campaigns, routine immunization as well as raise overall awareness about health issues in Pakistan.
So far the foundation has spent approximately 72 billion rupees on campaigns in the health sector in Pakistan with a primary focus on polio eradication with hopes of an increase in the aid budget in the future. It is important to note that the Bill Gates Foundation has provided immense assistance to Pakistan.
However this announcement by Bill Gates to not only continue giving Pakistan aid for various health campaigns and eradication of diseases such as Polio, but increasing this aid, shows that the Gates Foundation.
In 2010, the foundation made one of the largest contributions to the victims who were affected by the massive floods that took place in Pakistan with a generous donation of 700,000 dollars. In the beginning of this year, the United States declared that it is cutting off all aid to Pakistan stating that Washington was not satisfied with the efforts made by Pakistan in fighting the war against terror.
