In a significant move for the global cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of Binance and a prominent figure in the Web3 space, has been appointed as a strategic advisor to the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC).
The announcement followed a high-level meeting between CZ and PCC officials, chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. The session was attended by key government figures, including the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, and senior officials from the Law and IT ministries.

As a strategic advisor, CZ will offer guidance on vital areas including regulatory policy, digital infrastructure, public awareness, and mainstream crypto adoption. His involvement is expected to play a key role in building a secure, inclusive, and globally competitive crypto ecosystem in Pakistan.
