Bollywood starlet Sonam Kapoor finally tied the knot with her beau Anand Ahuja in a traditional Sikh marriage ceremony called Anand Karaj, which was held at her aunt’s house in Mumbai on 8th May 2018.
Several Bollywood celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor with her husband Saif Ali Khan and son, Taimur Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Karan Johar, Karisma Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Rani Mukherjee, and Amitabh Bachchan with his family, attended the ceremony. Her close friends and family members included her cousins, Khushi Kapoor, Jhanvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and their father, Boney Kapoor attended the wedding ceremony as well.

Sonam Kapoor wore a traditional red lehenga with heavy jewelry. Deep red mehndi adorned her hands with her wrists full of bangles. Her Delhi based businessman, Anand Ahuja, looked dapper in a golden sherwani. He paired his sherwani with a beige and cream ‘saafa’ with ruby and pearl strings.
The couple made an appearance at a grand reception in the evening that was attended by Bollywood bigwigs.
Sonam’s father, veteran actor Anil Kapoor and brother Harshvardhan looked elegant in black suits at the reception while her cousins Khushi, Jhanvi, Anshula, Arjun and Shanaya were dressed in the ethnic designer ensemble for the special events.
The entire Bollywood was gathered under one roof as big names like Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan with wife Gauri Khan, Varun Dhawan attended the event. Other celebrities including Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput, Katrina Kaif, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranbir Kapoor showed their presence at the event as well.

The videos that flowed on social media showed actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh sharing the dance floor at the wedding reception. The bride’s father, Anil Kapoor was too seen dancing with his colleagues and actors from the industry.
Previously, the pictures from the pre-wedding ceremony of Mehndi flashed the internet. Except for her wedding ceremony in which she wore a bright red color, Sonam Kapoor went for subtle looks in all the post and pre-wedding ceremonies.
