Famous Indian comedian Kapil Sharma has tied the knot with his lady love Ginni Chatrath in a traditional Punjabi wedding ceremony. The Punjabi folk singer Gurdas Mann performed in the wedding ceremony of Kapil Sharma.

The couple has been together for years and tied the knot on December 12 the same day as Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s wedding.

On Tuesday, Kapil Sharma hosted a Jagran which was attended by his friends and colleagues such as Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh. The Jagran was held in Amritsar. Pictures from the venue were shared online. Comedian Bharti Singh also shared pictures from the event on her Instagram account.

On the same day, the Mehndi ceremony of Ginni was held. Pictures from the ceremony circulated on social media.

Kapil Sharma wore a green sherwani, a pink turban with a triple Kalji on his turban while the bride stuck to traditional red wedding attire. Sharma held a sword in his hand while posing for the picture with the bride.

The venue was adorned with red and gold and was heavily guarded as Kapil Sharma is a well-established name in India. Invitations to the wedding itself had a barcode for entry.

An unnamed guest told the media that there was a limited gathering of the couple’s close family members and friends, apart from a few names from the world of comedy.
The wedding season in Indian seems to be in full swing as celebrities in the entertainment industry continue to tie the knots. Kapil and Ginni wedding came few days after the wedding Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, and Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas.
