Indian director Shekhar Kapur praises Pakistani actress Sajal Aly at International Red Sea Film Festival. Saja Aly is attending the film festival along with the cast and crew of her upcoming movie What’s Love Got To Do With It.
Pakistani actress Saja Aly is getting featured alongside Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Kapur, and Jemima Khan at the film festival. The film premiered at the film festival. The film festival is presided over by Olive Stone in which 16 films are running for the Yusr Awards.
This is the second edition of the Red Sea Film Festival which also marked the presence of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Sajal donned a white ivory gown, and Jemima wore a metallic number.
While introducing Sajal Aly to the audience, Shekhar Kapur called her ‘one of the greatest actresses of Pakistan’. He added, “Do you know when you first came on the screen at the first showing, every man in the hall gasped!” The filmmaker then added, “She’s one of Pakistan’s greatest actresses and she’s brilliant. Thank you very much, Sajal.”

A few days ago, Sajal Aly attended the Film Fare Middle East Awards. She won the award of the ‘Most Popular Face of the Pakistani Cinema’. A video of her heartwarming interaction with Bollywood actress Jhanvi Kapoor went viral on social media. Jhanvi Kapoor, who also attended the event, hugged Sajal Aly. She had shared the video on her Instagram account. In her speech, she thanked Humayun Saeed for allowing him to act. For the record, Sajal Aly has worked with the late actress and mother of Jhanvi Kapoor, Sri Devi in the film ‘Mom’.
