Governor Sindh Imran Ismail yesterday has said that the Bundal Island project off the coast of Karachi will attract fifty billion US dollars’ investment which will benefit the country’s overall economy.
Addressing a news conference along with Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi in Islamabad on Thursday, he said the federal government will take all the stakeholders on board prior to initiating this eco-friendly project.

The Governor Sindh said a working group will be established consisting of representatives of provincial and federal governments and other relevant departments.

He said Bundle Island will increase the revenue of the Sindh government and it will also become a tourist destination in the country. He said this project will also generate job opportunities for approximately one hundred and fifty thousand.
Imran Ismail said he will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah in regards to the Bundal island project and to address reservations of the Sindh government. Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi said that the area of Bundle Island is under the jurisdiction of Port Qasim Authority.
