Stephen Kevin “Steve” Bannon is an American media executive, political activist, and former investment banker, who is executive chairman of Breitbart News.
He served as the White House Chief Strategist (a newly created position) in the administration of US President Donald Trump during the first seven months of his term.
In this capacity, he attended the Principals Committee of the U.S. National Security Council from January 28, 2017, to April 5, 2017. He was forced to resign after differences emerged with General Kelly, President Trump’s Chief of Staff. When Bannon left he promised war with the White House. He also pointed out that Donald Trump was not doing what he had promised to deliver for the people who had voted for him.
Steve Bannon hits out at George W Bush in a speech at a California Republican party convention in New York. The far-right editor depicts the former president as bumbling and inept, faulting him for presiding over a ‘destructive’ presidency during his time in the White House.
He says Bush embarrassed himself, didn’t know what he was talking about, and had no idea whether he was coming or going ‘just like it was when he was president’ Steve Bannon not only blasted George Bush and but also called for a Republican ‘revolt’.
