Dynamic sisters Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas have presented a rap promoting peace between Pakistan and neighbouring India.
The video of the rap tilted ‘Humsaye Maa Jaye’ has been released on YouTube and is doing rounds on social media. Asma Abbas has played a Pakistani woman while Bushra Ansari has played an India woman. Both the sisters are seen raping in the Punjabi language from their respective kitchens.
The rap song speaks of unity and similarities between the cultures of the two countries. It discourages division, hate speech, and war hysteria and instead talks of promoting friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries.
The song has been written by third sister Neelum Ahmed Bashir and directed by Iqbal Hussain. Bushra Ansari has launched her YouTube channel with this funny video rap on Indo-Pak relations. The video was released with caption: “a music video that goes beyond war and borders to the hearts of people living so close, and yet so far away.”

The song is a depiction of the wishes of the citizens on both sides of the border who wished for peace over war and destruction.
Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas’s vivid performance in the rap song has delighted their fans as the video has become the top trend on social media. Unfortunately, the sane voices of peace were subsided by warmongering Indian media.
The rap song seems to be an attempt by Pakistan’s entertainment fraternity to de-escalate the tensions between the two nuclear states India and Pakistan who returned from the brink of war in February. The recent border confrontation led to the Pakistan downing two Indian fighter jets.
The fear of another military confrontation still looms as elections in India are underway. Hence, continuous efforts to sustain peace is required to maintain relations between the two countries.
