Pakistan’s iconic actress Bushra Ansari reveals her second marriage with Iqbal Hussain, who is an acclaimed film director in Pakistan.
The actress confirmed her marriage in the video posted on her YouTube channel. Rumors were rife regarding their marriage for quite some time. However, they had not confirmed or denied the news of their marriage.
Revealing her second marriage, the actress talked about the age gap and how they decided to marry each other. She also discussed the taboo surrounding second marriage at an elderly age, particularly of the women in traditional societies.
They opened up about how they met of the set of the serial and then slowly started talking to each other. They find solace in each other discussing their singlehood and life after marriage.
Reflecting on her own journey post-divorce, Ansari shared, “It took me a year and a half to come to terms with my divorce, and I never envisioned remarriage until I met Iqbal.” She emphasized the importance of accepting and embracing new beginnings, especially when sincere companionship is found later in life.

They shared that she received support from their friends and family. Bushra Ansari particularly mentioned the support she received from Behroz Sabzwari. The veteran actor encouraged her to consider the proposal. She said it was the unwavering support and faith shown in them by their close friends and family that made this union possible.
Hussain echoed Ansari’s sentiments, emphasizing the need to normalize marrying older women in society. “If two people have the option and there are no family conflicts, they should not hesitate to take the leap into marriage,” he affirmed, challenging prevalent stereotypes and advocating for gender equality in marital choices.
While Iqbal Hussain mostly works behind the screen, Bushra Ansari has an illustrious career in the entertainment industry of Pakistan.
