Bushra Bibi Advised Gastroenterology Review

The doctors' suggestion came after they visited the first lady's residence to conduct a medical examination following her complaints of acidity and chest pain.

A three-member medical team from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) recommended that Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, undergo a “gastroenterology review” to evaluate potential underlying stomach and intestinal issues, according to sources from Geo News.

The doctors’ suggestion came after they visited the first lady’s residence to conduct a medical examination following her complaints of acidity and chest pain.

Bushra’s medical assessment took place at her Bani Gala residence, which is currently functioning as a sub-jail for the former prime minister’s wife.

Dr. Bushra Liaquat, Dr. Hira, and Dr. Sidra, who is a cardiologist, examined Khan’s spouse and advised her to consider dietary and lifestyle changes, the sources reported.

The medical team visited Bani Gala on Monday night at 11 pm to address Bushra’s health concerns and spent approximately 75 minutes conducting the examination.

Earlier in the week, Bushra Bibi underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation supervised by Khan’s family physician, and doctors at a private hospital in Islamabad affirmed her good health status.

During her six-hour stay at the hospital, Bushra underwent diagnostic tests including endoscopy, ultrasound, echo, and ECG. However, she declined to undergo a blood test and did not provide a blood sample, as per sources from Geo News.

Khan’s physician, Dr. Asim Yousuf, was present during the check-up. The hospital sources confirmed that all medical reports for the former first lady were cleared, with only a minor gastric issue being identified.
